Fungicide: Elite And Bordeaux

An immediate and practically unstoppable threat to a good crop or garden is an attack from fungi.

Farmers deal with this threat by using fungicides as part of preventative maintenance for crops. Of the family of fungicides, farmers can choose from Bordeaux fungicide, Elite fungicide and mixtures in the arsenal of fungicides.

No single fungicide can give the protection most desired by farmers or gardeners. One fungicide, like the Bordeaux fungicide or the Elite fungicide, does not have the necessary makeup to combat all forms of fungi capable of cropping up. The solution for this problem is to use mixtures. Mixtures of fungicides typically are used to to generate the highest crop yields without causing any damage to the crops or the environment.

Fungicide is a useful tool to farmers all over the world. Without a good fungicide or mixtures of good fungicides, too many crops would be lost to blights of fungi and too many people would starve. The invention of fungicides came earlier than other advances in crop growing technology. More than 100 years ago, when grape farmers in France began to notice the effects of fungi on their crops, they developed a solution; using mixtures of copper sulphate and hydrated lime, these farmers of yore treated their grape vines. The mixtures worked amazingly well and went on to be called the Bordeaux fungicide treatment, based on the region of France where the fungicide was developed. To this day, the mixtures to make Bordeaux fungicide still are used, despite the potential for the copper to cause pollution if it enters water.

Elite fungicide does not have as interesting a history as Bordeaux fungicide; it is one of the more recently-developed weapons in the fungicide arsenal. That being said, it is one of the most useful mixtures of fungicides present on the fungicide market.

Elite fungicide is an effective fungicide treatment against the fungi attacking grapes and grape leaves. In general, Elite fungicide mixtures work to treat fruits and vegetables against fungi, such as powdery mildew, black rot, leaf spot and brown rot.

The mixtures of Elite fungicide are more diverse than Bordeaux fungicide, and to an extent somewhat less stressful to the environment. Fungicides are all-chemical and typically cause some kind of pollution to the environment. These effects, however, are easily treatable with mixtures designed to give the Earth a chance to recover.

Overall, ever since mixtures of fungicides were invented farmers all over the world have produced more crops of better quality, which is extremely important in this growing world.
